Team and plant

The Sacilese Industriale Vetraria plant is located in Montereale Valcellina, where the plains of Friuli meet the Prealps and the River Cellina flows, giving its name to the surrounding valley.

Seamlessly woven into the local environment, the building covers a surface area of 88,000 m2, 16,800 m2 of which covered, and is equipped with cutting-edge systems integrated according to the principles of Industry 5.0.

The team of specialist workers, operative 24 hours a day, is able to guarantee exceptional flexibility and a production capacity of over 1 million glass products a year.

Our history

1955

Sacilese Vetraria is founded as a craft business specialising in the processing of glass, mirrors and frames.

1960

With the arrival of new investors, the company transforms into a limited company, beginning its transition from craft business to industrial company. The new site is developed on the basis of a designer architectural project.

1997-98

The QSB curved tempered glass furnace is installed, the first in Europe. A new chapter of growth begins with the production of curved glass for shower enclosures, which join the flat glass solutions developed for interior design and industry.

2000

Sacilese becomes a leading industrial manufacturer and enters the international market with a new management structure and an expanded team.

2003

The company moves to the new plant in Montereale Valcellina. A period characterized by major changes and the redefinition of the production structure, with the installation of new equipment and digital systems for the management and planning of production.

2013

The absorption into the HAKA Group and a new business approach marks an important milestone on the company’s growth path. The company’s vision of the future and the market enables Sacilese to establish itself as a global leader in the sector.

2018

The company invests in digitalisation with the implementation of the Bottero automatic cutting line and the fully automated large sheets warehouse. All systems are interconnected according to Industry 4.0 criteria.

2021

In line with its environmental commitments, the first of three photovoltaic systems are installed, a strategic investment that combines innovation with environmental protection.

2023

The installation of the fourth tempering furnace with pre-heating chamber and automatic loading optimises the production process and improves efficiency: another step in the technological evolution.

2035

The company looks to the future, prioritising high standards of innovation and social responsibility. As in the past, Sacilese continues to adopt advanced technologies, making the values of excellence and transparency that have always characterised the company philosophy an integral part of its operating model.
